Former soap stars to take to stage
Two ex-soap stars are set to appear in a new touring production of the play Mum's the Word.
Former Brookside and The Bill star Bernie Nolan and ex-EastEnder Michelle Gayle will be joined in the cast by Kim Hartman, best known for her stint as Helga in sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!
The play focuses on the joys and agonies of parenting, as seen through the eyes of various mothers - although fathers will enjoy the amusing and poignant issues featured in the production.
Soap fans with long memories may remember Patsy Palmer (better known as EastEnders' Bianca) starred in the same play during its West End run in 2003.
This version will stop off at venues in Liverpool, Blackpool, Sunderland, Birmingham and Bristol.
