Beth Cordingly, best known as Pc Kerry Young in The Bill, is starring in a new London stage show.
She will play a ladies' rugby team captain called Nina Ritchie in An Evening with Jonny Wilkinson.
The production also features Norman Pace, one half of comic duo Hale and Pace, Abi Tucker of Heartbreak High fame and Home and Away veteran Michael Beckley.
It tells the story of a small group of sports fans who have gathered at their local rugby club to watch the 2003 World Cup final between England and Australia.
Club chairman Dave is trying to save the Greyhawks' pitches from land developers, but tricky Aussie head coach Matt is using every underhand trick in the book to try and replace him.
The drama was penned by Chris England, who particularly enjoys writing about sport.
He co-wrote the West End hit and television football comedy An Evening With Gary Lineker, and went on to write the spoof Bostock's Cup for ITV.
Cordingly was last seen in the BBC Three black comedy drama Funland, and has also had roles in Family Affairs, Casualty and Doctors.
An Evening with Jonny Wilkinson, directed by Jonathan Lewis, is on at the Menier Chocolate Factory in Southwark, London, and is scheduled to run from April 19 to July 2.
