Neighbours fans will know Daniel MacPherson better as Joel Samuels, but to enthusiasts of The Bill, he's PC Cameron Tait.
However, viewers will soon come to recognise him as Ned in Five's Tripping Over.
The new drama series begins on October 30th.
The show has been written by Mike Bullen of Cold Feet and Life Begins fame, with Andrew Knight and Andrea Denholm who previously collaborated on SeaChange.
It follows the fortunes of a five twentysomethings from London and Sydney who meet during a stop-over in Bangkok.
The three Brits and two Aussies all have different personalities and outlooks, but discover they also have a lot in common.
Over the course of the six episodes, we discover how their friendships change them and the direction of their lives.
Despite being only 26, Sydney-born Daniel has an impressive CV, including hosting Australia's version of The X Factor.
He joined the Neighbours cast in 1998 and played the popular character for four years.
In 2004 he walked the Sun Hill beat and proved a big hit with the British public.
